This ban particularly affects nail stylists and salons, as TPO is a crucial component in numerous nail products. <\/p>\n<p>But now there is remarkable news from <strong>Finland<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency (<strong>Tukes<\/strong>) has stated that professionals, such as nail stylists, <strong>may use up<\/strong> their existing stock of TPO products. Why? Because the Cosmetics Regulation considers professionals as <em>end users<\/em> \u2013 just like consumers.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>This is in stark contrast to the interpretation of the European Commission<\/strong>, which states that professional application is also prohibited after September 1, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The fact that Finland is openly giving a different reading and is in consultation with the Commission and other member states is a groundbreaking signal. It could set a precedent for the whole of Europe. <\/p>\n<hr>\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Reaction from Sofie Devlieger, <a href=\"https:\/\/tpo-eu.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tpo-Eu.Com<\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><em>\u201cWe have been fighting for months against this ill-considered ban, which affects thousands of nail stylists and beauty professionals. The fact that Finland is now making it clear that professionals may use up their stock is a glimmer of hope. If this position is maintained, it could open the door for a more practical and fair approach throughout the EU.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<hr>\n<h3>What Does this Mean in Concrete Terms?<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Prohibition:<\/strong> TPO products may no longer be sold or placed on the market from September 1, 2025.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Finland\/Tukes:<\/strong> Professionals may still use their current stock in their services.<\/li>\n<li><strong>EU Commission:<\/strong> also wants to ban professional use \u2013 but Finland is now challenging this position.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<h3>Strong Together<\/h3>\n<p>Via <a href=\"https:\/\/tpo-eu.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.tpo-eu.com<\/a> I continue to fight for a fair solution, together with professionals from all over Europe. Finland shows that there is room for common sense.
